01 | PAN (Personal Area Network)

Which is very limited in terms of range. The range of this Personal Area Network is only 10 meters. Which can be used to exchange data between computers, smartphones and tablets.

02 | HAN (Home Area Network)

When the network is extended over a certain area, that network connection is called HAN. Now this spacious area can be your own home or even your office court.

And through this Home Area Network (HAN) you can transfer data to your own mobile, computer, printer etc personal devices.

03 | LAN (Local Area Network)

When a network connection is provided within a certain range. Then those types of connections are called, LAN means, Local Area Connection.

Such network connections are usually limited to a specific office, court, school, college. However, such Local Area Networks are larger or smaller depending on the location. In fact, the extent of it will depend on your needs.

04 | WAN (Wide Area Network)

When network connections are to be provided over a wide area over a large area. Then that type of network will be called, WAN i.e., Wide Area Network. However, this WAN can be connected separately, that is, Wide Area Network is the junction of various small networks.

Today there are different types of WAN networks such as public pocket networks, large corporate networks, etc.

05 | MAN (Metropolitan Area Network)

A slightly larger network connection than a LAN network is called MAN. MAN plays a very effective role in providing connectivity between computers spread across an entire city.

Surprisingly, Metropolitan Area Network can cover network connections from 10 km to 100 km. Another thing to be aware of is that Metropolitan Area Networks are used to create any major network connections.

How is the network created?

At the beginning of the article, you learned that a network is made up of one or more computers. So if you just connect multiple computers, no network will be created.

01 | Sender

Sender plays the most important role in building a network. Because, when you go to transfer any of your necessary data to another place. That's when you need your network. So it can be said that Sender is the data which is sent from one device to another device through the network.

02 | Receiver

Receiver has many contribution in network connection. Because you only send the data but the person you send the data to does not receive the data. But that data will not be useful So it can be said that the receiver is the device that waits to receive the sent data.

03 | Message

When you send data from one computer to another computer. For example, you need any Text, Documents, Video etc. So these data should be sent mainly in the form of messages. Because of which this sending data is called message.

04 | Protocol

One computer device can be easily connected to another computer device. But if you want to establish communication between these two types of devices. Then the name that comes at the beginning of all, that is Protocol. It basically establishes the connection between Sender and Receiver. This makes it a much more important part.

05 | Transmission Media

If there is no transmission media in the network connection. Then it will not be possible to transfer data from one device to another. Due to which transmission media is required to transfer data.

Nowadays you can see different types of Transmission Media.

For example, Wires, Cable, Optical Fiber etc.
